Sweet Corn Salt Rimmer
Sweet corn salt on the rim of a Bloody Mary sounds like a Nebraska thing because it is. Dehydrated sweet corn, celery salt, a little red pepper, black pepper, and paprika, ground fine enough to stick to the glass and coarse enough to crunch.
It's savory first, with a little natural sweetness from the corn that rounds out the salt and the heat in the drink. It's the corn salt rimmer that ships in the Stu's Bloody Mary Kit. This is the same 2 oz bottle, sold on its own.
Why Corn Salt Belongs on a Bloody Mary Rim
Most Bloody Mary rim salt is celery salt and nothing else. That's fine, but it only does one thing. Sweet corn adds a toasty, slightly sweet note that makes the first sip taste like late summer, and it plays well with smoke and spice. Pair it with Stu's Smoked Jalapeño and you get sweet, smoky, and savory in one sip.
How to Rim a Glass with Corn Salt
- Pour a little corn salt onto a small plate.
- Run a lime wedge or a little tomato juice around the rim of the glass.
- Dip the rim, give it a twist, and tap off the extra.
- Fill the glass with ice, then build the drink: 1 oz of Stu's Bloody Mary seasoning and 4 to 5 oz of tomato juice, V8, or Clamato. Add vodka if you're using it.

Where Else to Use Sweet Corn Salt
- Micheladas: a corn salt rim on a cold michelada is hard to beat.
- Caesars: rim the glass for a Bloody Caesar.
- Corn on the cob and popcorn: sprinkle it on straight.
- Eggs, potatoes, and avocado toast: a pinch on top as a finishing salt.
- Garnish boards: set it out next to the pickles and olives on a Bloody Mary bar.

How many drinks does one bottle rim?
About 40, depending on how heavy you go.
What's the best Bloody Mary to pair it with?
All three Stu's flavors work. Smoked Jalapeño is our favorite match.
Do you make other rim salts?
Yes. Our Key Lime Salt Rimmer is the tart one. See both in our rim salts collection, and get more ideas in the Bloody Mary garnish guide.
